Lest we forget More than 300 people gathered in Foster on 25 April for a moving ANZAC Day commemoration, with marchers, a WW1 Lighthorse re-enactor, and a local Afghanistan veteran's ex-Army vehicle among the highlights. MDU women's footy team is calling for new players — no experience needed. And with games on Sundays and training twice a week, it could be the perfect way to spend a winter. Meanwhile, the South Gippsland Biodiversity Forum brought farmers, conservationists and council together in Leongatha, and a sold-out tour of Amber Creek Farm in Fish Creek showed what's possible when industry and nature work together.
