Sandy Point Music are excited to be showcasing more local talent on Saturday March 21 at the Sandy Point Community Centre.

For the third successive summer in a row the Prom Coast is being hit by a succession of energy sapping heatwaves.

Kelvin Smith grew up in Fish Creek on a dairy farm, number five of eleven kids. He attended the local schools, helped with milking and hay carting, rode pushbikes, surfed at Sandy Point, and took piano lessons with his siblings.

Members of the Prom Coast News team were guests of the Lyrebird Arts Council on March 19 for what proved to be a standout night of live music at the Meeniyan Town Hall, a reminder of just how fortunate our region is to attract artists of national calibre.

Situated roughly 1km from the sun, Australia is well known for being too hot for man and beast, even on occasion, in our own South Gippsland.
