Toora CFA’s Get Fire Ready event attracted a steady stream of attendees last Saturday. After nearly a week of non stop rain, the sun was a welcome addition to the free sausage sizzle and a tour of the extremely well appointed Toora CFA headquarters.

If there is one way to get parents talking and sharing it is creating a safe environment of family fun.

From 12–18 October 2025, Victoria turns the spotlight on more than 750,000 unpaid carers, neighbours, friends and family supporting loved ones with illness, disability, mental health or age-related needs.

If you had not already heard, it is Victorian Seniors Festival Month and there are a whole host of events still to get to across the region from musical performances to Pickleball come and try sessions.

On 15 September, Chloe Wade, P/1 teacher at Welshpool and District Primary School, was announced as a finalist in the Victorian Education Excellence Awards (VEEA) in the category of Outstanding Early Year Primary Teacher.
