Friends of the Prom is calling for volunteers to help restore two of Wilsons Promontory's most beloved beaches by tackling the invasive sea spurge weed threatening native vegetation and the endangered Hooded Plover.

Well known former Buffalo pastoralist, Maria Bell, was on hand at Federation Square in the second week of November proudly supporting her 19 year old grandson, Charlie Bell, who along with 373 fellow bagpipers were attempting to blast their way to a new mass piping world record.

It was a big winter for the Foster Tigers, and it looks like summer will be a cracker too, with tiger snake sightings hotting up across the Prom Coast. South Gippsland Snake Catcher, Todd McWilliams, has already been out and about relocating snakes so far this spring.
Christmas is coming early with ‘Sing We Now’
When two local choirs combine for a Christmas Concert, it's very exciting! So don't miss Bass Coast Chorale (BCC) and the South Gippsland Singers (SGS) when they present ‘Sing We Now’ at Wonthaggi on Saturday 29 November at 2pm, and at Leongatha on Sunday 30 November, also at 2pm.
