oster has capped an unbeaten season with a 63-29 victory over Yinnar in the Mid Gippsland A Grade netball grand final at Meeniyan Recreation Reserve on Saturday, claiming the premiership without losing a game all year. The 34-goal margin was Foster's fourth win over Yinnar in 2026. The Tigers won all 15 home and away matches to claim the minor premiership with a percentage of 235, then accounted for Yinnar twice more in the finals series.
Goal attack Brylee Angwin was the focal point of the Foster attack, shooting 40 of the team's 63 goals, with Ella Rendell adding 23. Rendell led the A Grade goal scoring charts this season with 587. For Yinnar, Patty McInnes finished the season on 558 and scored 19 in the final. Best on court went to co-captain Madeline Stewart at goal defence, in a match Foster controlled at both ends.
Playing coach Ebony Best was generous in defeat and gracious in victory. "We had some great battles all year and the scoreline every game didn't show how hard you pushed us," she told Yinnar. "Credit to you girls, you have a great team and I know you'll be back bigger and better next year."
Addressing her own players, Best said the work had been done long before Saturday. "The amount of effort they put in during the week on their fitness, on their skills, on their shooting, you can see it today and it's second to none. One of the best teams I've played in." She also acknowledged the Foster supporters who had been courtside since 8am. "We could hear you this year. Tonight this is yours as much as ours."
