Stockyard Gallery opens the new year with Vitamin Sea, a vibrant two-person exhibition by South Gippsland artists Jacqueline Christians and Dina Goebel, running from January 1–26, in Foster.
In this exhibition, painter Jacqueline Christians explores memory, place, and the pull of the coast through richly saturated works inspired by this region’s rugged cliffs, grassy dunes, and wetland sanctuaries. More than 30 new paintings developed through on-site visits and a personal reconnection to the landscapes of her childhood, invite viewers into an expressive, sensory journey along the South Gippsland coastline.
Mixed-media sculptor Dina Goebel presents imaginative and thought-provoking works that reflect on nature’s beauty and fragility. Her Jellyfish specimens, delicately encased beneath glass domes, reveal the unsettling irony of marine forms recreated in plastic; nature immortalised in the material that threatens it most.
