When your five year old son wanders around the house singing “I love Mrs Kerri Smith” in the midst of COVID lockdown and months of remote learning, you know that there’s a special prep teacher on the other end of the computer.

The Foster Op Shop is looking for new volunteers to join its team, and the commitment can be as little or as much as you have to give: a few hours here and there, the occasional Saturday morning, or a day a fortnight.

Falls remain one of the most significant risks for people receiving care in hospital. Being in an unfamiliar environment, combined with illness, reduced mobility, medication side effects, confusion, fatigue, or sudden changes in clinical condition, can all increase a person's risk of falling.

Colin "Stocky" Stockdale of the Koonwarra Fire Brigade has been awarded the Country Fire Authority's Outstanding Service Medal. It is the CFA's highest honour, presented for exceptional service, leadership and community contribution.
