There were smiles all round at Fish Creek on Thursday 14 May, as the club's Under 14 girls' footy team welcomed a visit from four AFLW Hawthorn players for what can only be described as a dream training session.
Eliza West, Casey Sherriff, Laura Stone and Mikayla Antony made the trip down to share some of their skills with the next generation of female footballers, and by all accounts the session was flat out fun while also packed with serious learning for the girls.
"We are so appreciative of the support we are getting," the club said. "Fish Creek certainly feels like the place to be." Fishy’s newest Kangaroos went on to win their match against Dalyston under lights on Friday night, to take top spot on the ladder.
