MDU dominated the Netball Grand Final Day with strong performances across divisions delivering the silverware as Foster struggled to bring it home in senior grades.

The mighty Dees celebrated a successful grand final day at Yinnar on Saturday September 13, claiming victories in A Grade netball and C Grade with dominant performances that showcased their depth across multiple divisions.

The A Grade netball final was the day's most compelling contest, with MDU overcoming Foster 55-41 in a match that fluctuated dramatically before the victors pulled away decisively in the final term. Foster started with the wind, edging ahead 12-11 at quarter time after a physical opening. The second quarter remained fiercely contested with neither side willing to concede ground, until MDU created separation late in the term through defensive pressure that resulted in some vital turnovers.

The third quarter saw MDU's defensive structure prove decisive. Foster's frustrations mounted, resulting in a player being sent from court for two minutes following repeated dangerous play warnings. Despite this, Foster remained within striking distance entering the final break.

The fourth quarter belonged entirely to MDU as conditions improved. Goal shooter Alahna Arnason proved unstoppable, combining accuracy with composure to convert every opportunity presented. While Foster's Brylee Angwin and Ella Rendell managed some late scores, MDU's earlier lead and relentless pressure had established an insurmountable advantage.

The day delivered contrasting fortunes for different Prom Coast clubs. MDU's success extended to C Grade, where they defeated Yinnar 42-25, while their 17 & Under team fell short against Boolarra 37-50. Foster endured double disappointment in senior grades, with their B Grade team losing narrowly to Fish Creek 50-61, compounding the A Grade defeat.

Other notable results saw Yinnar claim D Grade honors over Mirboo North 29-21, while junior divisions provided close contests. Toora edged Yinnar 24-22 in 15 & Under, and Yinnar defeated Newborough 28-13 in 13 & Under competition.
