Local arts charity, (it’s no) drama is inviting the community to an evening of music and dancing at the Fish Creek Memorial Hall with their latest performance, MixedTape, on Friday 12 September at 6pm.
This vibrant, one-of-a-kind event has been created by the talented (it’s no) drama ensemble in collaboration with local composer Andrew Murray, and is supported by Creative Victoria.
Unlike a regular (it’s no) drama show, MixedTape is all about the music. The evening will kick off with the specially composed 10–15-minute digital music track, showcasing the group’s creative energy and sound experimentation. Then, the lights go down and the volume goes up for a disco set by DJ Golden Fleece, welcoming the audience to hit the dance floor and party alongside the (it’s no) drama performers.
“Come for the music, stay for the disco, everyone’s welcome,” says Artistic Director Samara Cunningham. “It’s a family friendly event, so all ages are welcome. We want people to come along and experience the joy and connection that shared arts experiences give.”
