A last minute surge of whimsical, wonderful tiny movies set the scene for a fabulous film night at the magnificent Toora Hall.
The third year of the Toora CROPFEST was enjoyed by a crowd of around 100 people coming from far and wide. In its own way, each home made video presented the audience with a unique take on a particular theme.
The adorable Fish Creek Buckley Park contributions once again showed us that they are not only great gardeners but also classy dancers, musicians and fun loving performers. And Stuart Inchley's “Hollow Hollow “movie gave us a clever mix of music, humour and an important environmental message.
Staging it at Easter, although awkward for locals heading out of town, allowed visitors to the area to get an insight into our creative, fun loving, food growers. At the same time, it showed off important aspects of our unique and in some instances threatened wider environment.
The willingness of local traders to offer vouchers and the much appreciated grant from Toora Foster Bendigo Bank were invaluable. A special band of locals played a pivotal role in providing digital and IT support, music, sound systems and aesthetic design. And let’s not forget the popcorn!
