Local football legend Dean Duursma was inducted into the Gippsland Power Life Members at a recent ceremony. The Club said Dean has worked tirelessly for the last 13 years, volunteering his time to help make their program better.
All four of his superstar children went through the Gippsland Power program, with Willem the youngest graduating this year, while Xavier, Yasmin and Zane are now all at their respective AFL Clubs. In a statement on Facebook, Gippsland Power noted that “We really appreciate all the work that Dean has put in and what better way than to reward him with a Life Membership to finish his time in the program. We will always happily welcome you back anytime Dean.”
