The Buffalo Hall will host its annual community BBQ this Sunday 30 August as an opportunity for new and old local families to come together to meet or catch up over lunch. Even if you’re not from Buffalo, your support of the hall would be most welcome, so all are encouraged to come along for a free sausage in bread and a laugh with locals. Bring a salad or sweet to share and your own drinks. There’ll be kids’ activities and a presentation from the Fish Creek CFA about the amazing local volunteer service they provide.
This year’s community BBQ has been supported by a grant received from Marinus Link in 2025 to promote community engagement at the hall. In June this year, the Buffalo Community Centre was also thrilled to be announced as a recipient of Tiny Towns Grant Funding program for 2026/2027. Funds will go towards upgrading the electrical circuit board; re-flooring the kitchen and foyer; assessing the location and condition of the septic tank and sealing the splashback surfaces in the kitchen. Additionally in 2026, a generous contribution from the Buffalo Indoor Bias Bowls Club enabled the installation of new split systems to aid in heating and cooling the hall space. The Committee is excited for the planned improvements to be completed and to continue offering the Buffalo Community Centre for our community to enjoy.
Save Friday 6 November in your calendar for the annual Buffalo Hall Trivia night and keep your eye out for more information about the Hall’s Inaugural Tennis Round Robin, planned for January 2027. Events like these are put on for our community to come together and enjoy – your support is welcomed to ensure the Buffalo Hall is maintained and improved so that it’s available for many more generations to enjoy in years to come.
