Round 16 was a gem for the Prom Coast A grade netballers, with almost every team garnering victory on 2 August. Fish Creek defeated Newborough, 74-36. Stony Creek were unlucky against Mirboo North, suffering a 47-66 defeat at home. The Sharks did not bite off more than they could chew with Hill End, schooling the home team by 40 points, 66-26. Foster continued their dominance, beating Morwell at home 67-38, while Toora took the Boolarra Demons, 53-28.
The second last round of the home and away season saw an absolute thriller between Fish Creek and MDU, with the Dees losing by just one goal, 41-40. Stony Creek defeated Hill End 53-29 at home, while Toora emphatically beat Thorpdale 24-70. Meanwhile, Foster carried their unbeaten form over to Mirboo North, defeating their fellow Tigers, 72-45.
The last match of the season next weekend will see the juicy and long awaited first versus second ladder match-up of Foster against Fish Creek, and it looks relatively certain that MDU and Toora will also be seeing some finals action.
